It's time to have your say

Students, teachers, and parents and guardians are invited to provide their feedback on their experience of Christ the King School using an online survey.

The surveys are an important part of our whole school evaluation and planning process.

Schools in Australia and around the world have used the Tell Them From Me survey. The results will help us to highlight what we're doing well to support our school community and the areas where we need to improve. All Brisbane Catholic Education Schools are participating in this survey. Students across Years 4-6 will be provided with an opportunity to take part during school time early in Week 5.

We would like to invite you to complete the Tell Them From Me Partners in Learning survey. As we value the role of parents and carers within our school community, we would greatly apreciate your feedback. The information you provide will be used to maintain our commitment to working together in partnership to further improve student learning and wellbeing at Christ the King School.

The survey is anonymous and will take approximately 15 minutes to complete. All parents and guardians are asked to complete the survey. Please complete your survey before Friday, 30 May.

No playing in the CTK School grounds after school

A reminder for parents and studnets that for safety reasons, playing in the school grounds after 2:50pm is not permitted. The play equipment in our adventure playgrounds is certainly our of bounds any time there isn't a teacher supervising.

Each afternoon there are quite a number of childrne who appear to be waiting for parents in the undercover area and on the grass, and without proper supervision the risk of an accident is always there. We also ask that parents who bring toddlers along towards the end of the day, or two after school activities, please keep a close eye on their children and ensure they are not playing on the playground equipment.

The playground is for the teacher-supervised use of our school students and for chhildren attending Outside School Hours Care.

Celebrating mums and mother figures at CTK School

Finally, thank you to all the mums and mother figures who were able to make it to our Mothers' Breakfast and special Prayer Assembly on Friday, 9 May. It was a great turn up of parents and a wonderful way to celebrate our mother figures. I hope you all had an amazing day on Mother's Day (Sunday, 11 May).

A big thank you to Mrs Lyons and Mrs Hyland and the team of dads who prepared, set up and served breakfast for so many. And to Mrs Suzannah Halpin for the beautiful assembly.

Of course, coming up on Saturday, 17 May is Christ the King School's P&F Mothers' Long Lunch. I know those attending will have an enjoyable afternoon.

Have a great fortnight
