Message from the Principal

Christ the King (CTK) is a high quality learning community with an enrolment of approximately 220 students. We are a co-educational school, offering classes from Prep to Year Six. Christ the King operates within the Corinda Graceville Catholic Parish and forms part of the network of Brisbane Catholic Education schools.

CTK believes in developing the whole child - academically, socially, emotionally, physically and spiritually. CTK strives for excellence and provides a child centred and innovative curriculum. The teachers, support staff and volunteers at CTK are our greatest resource and they work tirelessly to inspire high expectations for learning that maximises engagement, progress and achievement for each and every student. Our contemporary learning and teaching environment provides children with opportunities to develop into happy, productive and successful members of society. Technologies will be embedded in quality Literacy and Numeracy programs that will ensure that your children are well-equipped to live and work in the twenty-first century.

In all of this, we remain ever mindful that the most important factor for successful schooling is the relationship between each student and their teachers. Because of the small size of our school, teachers and support staff know each child by name and it is our priority to maintain a safe, secure environment where all children experience belonging.

Not only will we be promoting lifelong, independent and responsible learning we will also be encouraging openness and understanding of all faiths and cultures and in particular Catholic spirituality and Aboriginal spirituality. Quality relationships and partnerships with parents and caregivers is integral to our approach at CTK and these are promoted and celebrated through positive interaction with students, teachers, parents and the parish.

There is much to enjoy in my role as Principal of Christ the King but I particularly enjoy meeting and talking with parents and guardians as you make these very important decisions about the educational life of your children. In the pages that follow you will find a range of information about our wonderful school. I encourage you to take some time to explore our site and I invite you to contact me if you have any further enquiries or if you would like further information on anything you have read.
