Christ the King School, Graceville is proud to offer local families the opportunity to take part in a three-part Triple P – Positive Parenting Program seminar series this June.

Designed to support parents and carers of children up to 12 years of age, this engaging series provides practical, real-world strategies to help make parenting more confident, calm and enjoyable.

Triple P is a globally recognised parenting program, grounded in research and delivered by highly regarded professionals. The sessions focus on strengthening parent-child relationships, building children's skills and helping families navigate everyday challenges with greater ease.

The series begins with The Power of Positive Parentingon Tuesday, 9 June, followed by Raising Confident, Competent Children on Tuesday, 16 June and concludes with Raising Resilient Children on Tuesday, 23 June. Each session is designed to stand along, meaning parents can attend one or all three depending on their availability and interests.

Throughout the series, participants will explore simple and effective approaches to encouraging positive behaviour, supporting emotional wellbeing, and fostering independence in children. These sessions are ideal for busy families looking for practical tools that can be implemented straight away at home.

Importantly, this initiative reflects Christ the King School’s commitment to partnering with families in the education and wellbeing of their children.

"We know that strong, supportive relationships between home and school create the foundation for children to flourish, not just academically, but socially and emotionally as well," Christ the King School Principal, Bernadette Wright, says.

"We are also delighted to extend this opportunity beyond our school community, welcoming families from our local kindergartens and the wider parish. By opening up these sessions, we hope to continue building meaningful connections across our community and support families at every stage of their child’s development."

Mrs Wright said that it was thanks to the generous support of the school's Parents & Friends Advisory Group and funding secured through Catholic School Parents Queensland, that the entire seminar series is being offered free of charge.

"This funding enables us to bring high-quality, evidence-based parenting support directly to our community — an opportunity we are excited to share," Mrs Wright said.

Registrations are essential, and places are limited. Families are encouraged to secure their spot early via the online registration links below.

"At Christ the King School, we believe that investing in our families is an investment in our children's future," Mrs Wright said. "We look forward to welcoming parents and carers to these valuable sessions and supporting our community to thrive together."
